| Looks like the band name is going to change, and a decision about our old name, dRILLbIT, has been modified. We decided that dRILLbIT never really changed it's name, but remains me (Matt), Brandon, and Andy and that Kidron Valley was reserved for me and Brandon along with the new members Chris and Michaelangelo, but the new members don't quite feel as though they're part of "Kidron Valley" because we came up with the name before they joined, so a name change (or "name creation" really) is in order. It's only been a about three days since this decision was made and not much thought has gone toward a new name yet, but we are considering "Mirror House" at the moment, but is very subject to change, but let us know if you like it. We'd also like to hear your band name ideas should you have any. If we come up with more ideas, and if I remember to post, I'll post up the ideas here and/or on our blogspot: kidronvalley.blogspot.com
Also, this means an actual direction for the band.
We aim to be playing in a, so far, 4 band concert sometime in October to raise money for the Northwest Church of Christ mission trip to Brazil including Break Forth a New Day (popularly known as Christos Soter [name changes... they get us all]), Just 3 Words, Seraphim, and any other bands that might join the concert. Break Forth A New Day's myspace is the following: http://myspace.com/breakforth but, if you're too lazy to go to their site to look up gig locations and times, their playing Saturday August 11th at the Lighthouse cafe in San Antonio starting at 7, but specific address and directions you'll have to look up on their myspace cause I'm too lazy to go look it up for you.
Along with this October concert we may be playing at a coffee shop or two in the later part of this year; stepping up with new material, a purpose, sense of direction, and all around firmer dedication and focus on our music and talents. Our guitarist actually mentioned a burger place he knew of that had bands, including loud rock, that we might take into consideration. We'll keep you updated.
NOW ON TO THE GOOD STUFF! I'M GONNA KEEP YOU UPDATED ON SOME OUR FAVORITE BANDS RIGHT HERE AND NOW!!!
Thousand Foot Kructh is coming out with a new
album "The Flame In All Of Us" that's only $9.99 to pre-order
an autographed copy or $14.99 for an autographed copy of the CD/DVD
edition + fanpack (stickers, keychain, button, poster) included bundle. Also TFK's sideproject band FM
Static has their Critically Ashamed album out as well. You can download
TFK's new song off itunes and get your money back from the song when
you buy the album, so that's something to check out! From what I hear
Alter Bridge's new song is on itunes for download, so check it out! And
finally, Fuel is coming out with their forthcoming album "Angels and
Devils" available August 7 and is already available for preorder.
Now, like at Long John Silvers ring the bell if you liked your visit, or, in other words, leave a comment to let us know you dropped by or if you have any feedback on anything I've just taken 15 min to type up just now.

| Now, I think, dRILLbIT has officially died and THIS band has risen up! Vocalist: Chris Simelman (I still don't know how to spell his last name, but this is what it sounds like at least) Guitarist: Michealangelo Lovins Bassist: Brandon Huber Drummer: Matthew Orth (Hey, that's me! I almost forgot...) BUT DON'T LET THE TITLES FOOL YOU! these are just our MAIN fields, but we ALL will be doing ALL these roles. example: The vocalist will not only sing, but for one or more songs he will play guitar, for one or more songs he will play bass, and for one or more songs he will play drums, as will each other member with every others position. Tomorrow, Friday June 14-15, 2007 at an overnight lock-in at Northwest Church of Christ I believe our guitarist and possibly our vocalist, if he can make it, will be playing a few songs for the youth group and next lock-in we should be having a full band and setlist planned out (swapping instruments and everything). Hopefully by the second lock-in we'll have a keyboard to play on so we'll have a mic, 4 instruments, and 5 band members so is someone plays an instrument AND sings then the member who's instrument the singer will be playing on can still play something and won't have to sit one out. I have over 50 songs written, some in my head I need to get on paper, and an "I think I actually like the song I wrote" percentage of about 50%, which is pretty dern good! Maybe we'll record some stuff someday and play coffee shops and work our way up... within the next year before I graduate (yeah... yikes!). btw, new blog: kidronvalley.blogspot.com | | |
| Sad but true. I, the drummer, have come upon a revealing revelation that I want to one day own a recording studio because I suck at anything that doesn't involve music. btw! we have a KV fanclub blogring! join at your own leisure | | |
| Christos Soter is playing YET AGAIN at the Lighthouse Cafe April 6th at probably 6pm. The location...hasn't changed, I can't see the Lighthouse Cafe being at a different place than it was before. dRILLbIT playing intermission again! YAY! Maybe the drummer can be in on it THIS time! lol, hope to see ya'll there! ALSO!!! THe drummer got 2 new snare drums (awesome!!!), a silver one similar to the he has currently and a nice (actually wooden!) purple drum with black hardware and a nice head (sweet!). Currently needing an ambassador snare head for the new silver one and an extra stand so two snares can be equipped at a time. ALSO! ALSO! Rush came out with a new album and a concert is more than likely comming up, so Rush fans: be on the look-out! KV out | | |
